My Favorites - Movies, the actors and actrees
Hellow, are you fans of movies? Who doesn't, right?
My friends at university once said to me my favors to movie is odd. I don't have specific kind of movie which I like, when I interested to it, I'm going watch it to decide am I going to love it or just like it.
1. I love almost all of Denzel Washington movies, I fall in love when I saw Man On Fire. So I kept going on searching and waits another movie with him as a cast. The reason is all of his movie at least capturing different personalities, he got great performance of characters. Another movies of Denzel, some of it I watched it over and over : The American Gangster, Deja Vu, Book Of Eli, The Great Debaters, Bone Collector, and 2 Guns

2. LOTR vs The Hobbit (on going) personally I liked both, but I love Hobbit more. I love dwarfs. The reason is simple they are better than Harry Potter.

3. All Johnny Depp fantasy movies. I don't care if it's not in blockbuster or box office. I once saw the movie based on true story : Donnie Brasco, I recall if it's wrong please correct me... And only this one movie of Johnny which made me cry.

4. Breakfast At Tiffanys!!! This 50's jetsetter is blowing my mind. Holly Golightly, She's like my fictional fashion icon.

5. Scott Pilgrimm Vs The World. Michael Cera isn't my fave actor, I don't even know him befote he played movie with Jack Black. This movie is hilarious the scenes are very comical and very like fighting games in 80's.

6. Inglorious Basterds, love all the basterds heehee... This movie is charming, beautiful languages, and great acting performance. Note: Brad Pitt a little bit lost there, descendant of Apache? Maybe I'm going to find another Quentin Tarantino fascinating movies... Kill Bill is one but it's not making me to watch it over...

8. Samurai X. First I thought, OMG this is going to be so bad, so many film based on manga or video game was disasters. But! I must say this one is the perfect one yet. Note: even better than 47 Ronins.

9. Beverly Hills Chihuahua. I don't focusing on the stories (1,2,3) or acting performance but aren't the dogs very very lovable, cute, bubbly hugs????

10. Disney and Ghibli movies. I ate it all. Frozen was the last movie I seen, and the first Disney movie I watched in movie, bought the cassette (bought it twice because I was accidentally erased some of the songs), and a VCD, few years later I bought the CD OST, and after 10 years I bought the DVD also is THE LION KING.... Even Little Mermaid can't makes me do that things... Cinderella and Snow White also my favorites when they're in video tape hee hee... Ghibli movies from Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, The Cat Returns, Ponyo, and Grave Of The Fireflies....all of them are very lovable movies! I recommend you to watch! If you like cartoon, anime, and deep story of fantasy.

All About Eyes and Shadows

Do you wears make up everyday? What is your make up item which is a must have?
I'm not a beauty guru or make up guru, but I do aware that Asian make up was focusing a lot more on eyes. Maybe to make it bigger or rounder, or maybe something else. Back then in my college days, a black eye liner is always in my make up bag, I usually don't wear any eye shadows or blusher :p.
Well, we're improving being right? Always black is monochrome, dark, and gloomy. If you have panda eyes like me then black eye shadows complete us to be a real panda! So I look around to be more colorful person hehehe....
After I looked around Youtube for make up tutorials (I was had a phase, you know it when you're really addicted watching it but can't apply it). Most of really good make up artist are having similar hand gestures such as painter, how they applying colors and making great gradations... They made the eyes look beautiful not blotchy...
So, like other rookies, especially if you're also stingy about something that you don't understand yet like me (I hope you don't though). I bought just around standard price make up kit, I've never wear false/fake make up even rookies should know how dangerous it is if you have some complexion it's mean trouble.... But make up kit made in Indonesia always shimmery and glossy, both eye shadows and lipstick, even there's also a shimmery loose powder. What am I gonna be? A Christmas Tree? :(
I had bought NYX Bohemian Chic Color palette eye shadows as a trial to use an expensive make up item. Don't be surprise, $ vs IDR is gruesome for your wallet if you're Indonesian.... NYX is consider as drugstore make up in US or other country maybe, if you say drugstore I thought a cheap make up but still have good quality. A branded eyelash curler price about a dollar? You'll never see it here in Indonesia... If you're using US$, you can buy tons of drugstore branded make up with just 100$ that will last at least 2 years... *make up items that usually available at local drugstore : Silky Girl, Viva, and Maybelline.
It has really pretty matte color, not too shimmery, and added two colors of blushers. I believe more experienced people gonna make pretty nude color eye make up or smokey eye make up with this palette :)
It's seems hopeless now to gathering, I give up to become a gatherer.... *nyaahh... just kidding...*
But I just order 1 pretty palette from Etude House, Play Color Palette 1 :) They have two types as you can see below :
Preeeetyyy.... I don't know this palette more attractive to me, and suddenly I just ordered it for IDR 295k (convert in Korea approx. 26000 Won, and convert in US$ approx. 25$). It's around 22000 Won in Korea, and it's limited edition.
I'm just thinking what I'm gonna do with that beautiful red there.... one reviewers said she love the no. 2 palette (without vivid red), because you can applied it daily, but from my point of view palette 2 is common... no offense... Is it a dupe for NAKED? No it's obviously not, it doesn't have a lot of colors and most of it shimmery and glittery.
(-_____-) So why do I ended up ordered shimmery and glittery eye shadows??? (which I don't like actually)
Meh... I watched @from head to toe Korean Style make up tutorial, and I think shimmery and glittery is not that bad, it depends on how you apply the eye make up. It's really simple tutorial actually. But I suggest you try to watch her tutorial and NAKED 1, 2, 3 reviews and comparison :p

I thought it was a dupe for Naked Palette, because it has nude colors too, but most of it are matte colors, but maybe I'm very wrong. Naked palette is really popular among YT beauty guru, but for me it's really pricey, and I'm not gonna buy an eye shadows palette which cost half of my allowance (-____-) When Naked Palette 2 is really booming, and I have to have it when I finished gathering money (I'm a gatherer hahahaha!!! JK) Suddenly they launch Naked Palette 3! WTH...

Call Me Mrs!! ;p (pt.2)
Hi! I'll continue from pt.1 Call Me Mrs!! :D *ROFL... (actually I don't really used to it already...)
So... I said before that I didn't lost an inch or a cm bit from my arms, and I was promised to my self to lost weight before prewedding, I FAILED TO LOST WEIGHT *gyahahaha.... I was GAINED WEIGHT XD
And at that moment I didn't realize it until I went to my bridal to fit my dress for 3rd time, my wedding dress was not fitted at all!!! They can't buttoning because there was a gap about 3 cm *I was about to cry!!! It was fitted on me perfectly before, and then...* What's scares me at that moment was, it's only 2 weeks before the W-day!!
I weighed after that and ta-da.... 59 kg lalala... lalala... lalala.. approx. 130 lbs!!!! gyahahha...... *Can you feel how depressed I am at that time??
I went to this beauty clinic and body slimming care just to lost at least an inch of my arms, and probably losing weight. The doctor recommended me to use RF treatment, it's very easy, not hurting and middle cost, and I went there 4 times to have my arms treated, and I lost about 2 cm of my arms in 2 weeks. Do I lost some weight? Yes I am!!
So this is my diet routine for my wedding day in 2 weeks :
Drink a lot of water! I almost drink 2 ltrs a day, I don't drink any soft drinks
Eat in small portions but always have carbohydrate, in my case white rice, at least 5 tablespoons.
I don't picky about side dishes, I can get anything that I want but I prefer not to eat a lot fried food or meat
Don't eat snacks!!! I'm not eating any candies, chocolate, chips, or anything. Just drink water if I want to snacks.
Don't eat after 6 PM!! Eat fruits!! I'm substituted dinner with fruits, or I had dinner before 6 PM.
Do I get exercise? Err... Actually I just doing daily activity so... No... It will better to have it though...
THE Result!!! TA-DA!! 53 kg lalala... lalala.. lalala... approx. 116 lbs *Oh So Happy!!!* I went to fitting the dress again, but it got oversize hahaha... they had to shrunk it a bit. But it's okay, the dress is beautiful on me now ;p *that's what I thought
At my wedding day, I must woke up at 02.30 AM and go to my bridal for make up *yes, 02.30 AM* Usually I can't wake up because I haven't sleep!!
Jeffrey was my make up artist, his doing great job, he's also owning the bridal. He said my skin was good, the make up product was easily applied. So I thought wow, it's the miracle of ETUDE Moistfull Collagen Cream, I'm using it until now and I going to buy again :)
The hair... They want to make it to look like 1920's style, but my hair to is too soft and thin (even though it's a lot) so they have to changed style. If I've got that looks (1920s) it might be get into the theme I want to, but sadly, yea... okay....
Everything perfect so I guessed this is it, this is my wedding day, it's gonna be okay! hahaha....

My prewedding was good! I don't lost an inch/cm of my arms but I don't really care!!
This pretty dress was made just for me by destiny!!! *ROFL When I first tried the dress it's fitted well. My prewedding theme is Shanghai and Baba Nyonya :)
The theme was recommended by my friend, Novi. Thank u girl!
The setting was in Adya Nalendra Boutique Hotel, they have this chinese theme room and javanese theme. Perfect spot to get photoshoot there.

Confession of a Skinny Wannabe – Being Fat in Indonesia
I must confess, after I wrote about anorexia and bulimia in
Indonesia because I’m watching Supersize vs Super skinny (season 1 to 6 right
now), I have story about dieting regime that I’ve been doing and done.
I’m getting married this year, and since this January I was
alarmed by my fiancée about I’m gaining weight lately (maybe since New Year
I’ve been gaining some kilos/pounds/stones). I’m maintaining my health and body
weight with restricting soda, junk food, chocolate, chips, and ice cream or any
kind of heavy MSG snacks. When my fiancée said if I keep gaining weight, I might
not fit into my wedding dress, its scares me very much. For many girls big day,
I believe they want to be look like the Queen of the day instead of being big
whale for the rest of her life, so do I.
Actually I must confess, I have up and down situation with
eating disorder (ED), it might be only on my mind because I use to be obese.
Since toddler I was very big, my weight is above the
average, my eating habit is uncontrolled, and nobody really cares about how big
I am. Even in my 14th I don’t
even cares about boys, usually in that age you might be in swing mood on to
those boys right? There’s must be one or two handsome and cool upper classmate
or your classmate which you like. That’s make teen girls are aware about body
images and appearances.
I was lacked of awareness about keeping my body images in
good and healthy weight, it’s continued to High School. My height is 5.2 ft
(158.5 cm) is a bit above average South East Asian woman, and I used to weigh
143.3 lbs (65 kg or 10.2 stones). It’s downright obese, I was looked very
chubby, and my arm was same size as one of the girl’s leg in my class.
If you find it weird, well, in South East Asia, which we’re
having smaller body frame and smaller BMI, having weight over 132.3 lbs (60kg)
is considered as heavy/big/obese for women especially. The preferable maximum
weight for women in South East Asia is about 110 lbs (50kg/7.8 stone), because
the average height is 5 ft (155 cm). The weight around 110-121 lbs (50-55 kg)
is considered as curvy chubby body, so above that you’ll be called fatty, pig,
or worse is being called elephant.
The very awkward moment is my first time dated a boy in my
class, and I was unconsciously dropped 11 lbs (5 kg). After I broke up with
him, my weight is dropped again from 132.3 (58kg) to 119 lbs (54kg/8.5 stones),
and again it’s unconsciously done, so I didn’t even thought about diet. At that
time I realized that I didn’t drink soda and no snacking, I ate half portion
without consciously know about it. So the total I lost was 24.3 lbs (11
kg/almost 2 stones).
One of my friends was acknowledged my weight lost, and asked
me how, but I didn’t get it either at that time. After I realized my weight
lost I think that time I’m aware about going to diet, but I never reached below
119 lbs. It’s been up and down yoyo dieting and the weight is between 119-132
lbs, urgh... I was even on extreme fitness routine for 3 months but nothing
really changed my weight even I had toner abs and thinner waist though.
In back years of my activity in university, having skinny
and beautiful friends, and unhealthy relationship with my last ex-boyfriend,
made me being extreme on diet too. My friend once told me, my meal was really
freaky, ridiculous, and very little. I’ve had 3-4 times a week focusing on 2
hours in aerobic session, only eat small portion and always counting calories
intake. Sadly, yea… I’ve binged and purged phase, also abusing laxatives and
diet pills when I think I needed it.
I don’t remember much
about that depressing time, but I do remember my first time I weigh 111 lbs
(50.5 kg/7.9 stones) aaaannd…. My first collapsed. It’s true I’ve blacked out,
bumped my back head, and don’t know why I was collapsed. I don’t remember if at
that time I wasn’t ate anything or ate everything, maybe depression was eaten
my weight.
After a year, with balance life time, I’m gaining weight
again back to 119 lbs, having new boyfriend (now he is my fiancée.), and job’s
good. Everything is good actually… But the past sometime bulking up upon me
about weight, whenever I feel over eating, I’ll drink laxatives to suppressed
my guilt from over eating.
Somewhat getting married things made me felt ugly and so
bloated... It’s almost April, around that month I’ve scheduled our pre-wedding
video and photos. Oh yeah, it’s very common in South East Asia to have
pre-wedding video and photos, even these are become a tradition for couple to
do before married. The video is one in a
life time, and gonna be show off in wedding reception where people we’re
invited will be going to watch it. Don’t you want to look gorgeous in your own
pre-wedding video? YES!! I desperately want it to be memorable and definitely
don’t want it going to be regrettable.
Right now I want to go back to 111 lbs or better to go less than
that, but I can’t do it with healthy diet or maybe I can but don’t know how to.
I’m keeping at 1000 calories intake a day and training my abs, thighs, and back
arms (thighs and back arms need to be tone up because the effects of obesity).
My body measurements are not normal. My bust is wider than
my hips, what’s with that?? It’s only 4
cm differences but still not normal to me… In US I’ll be size 6-8 (depend on
the clothing brands), in Devil Wears Prada its fatty size!
I need to lose weight and tone my body immediately… Wish me
luck! The target is 111lbs before April!
Indonesian Women and Anorexia-Bulimia Nervosa 1

Hi,it's been along time since I last wrote my blog, I was in the middle of vacation of Christmas and New Year :)
I believe everyone of us have new year resolution, and I hope for the best of accomplish the resolution you have made :)
Why do I suddenly thinking about Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa? I don't intend to encourage people to be anorexia/bulimia, but actually it's because recently I've been watching the UK reality show titled : Super Size Versus Super Skinny.
This show might have been years showing and still ongoing, you might check www.chanel4.com or search on YT about it. As far as I know they already filming to season 6.
Amazing about how culture made women and men to do such strict diet to loose and stay skinny, where the beauty was cost death. Maybe in US or UK being skinny is pretty beautiful. This kind of context is different between West and East, especially South East Asia.
In South East Asia, being pretty or beautiful means the brighter, whiter, flawless skin look and body. So many whitening product sells like candies, name any price there's still a lot of women in South East Asia will be eager to buy it.
In Indonesia, anorexia/bulimia cases is very rare almost none, but I'm not saying there's none. In my opinion, a lot of people here have better thinking of being healthy might be not the priority, but can eat everyday is a bless. I must say, more than a half population in Indonesia are economically so low. So to these people being in restricted diet only making them starving even more.
But are there fat and big people in Indonesia? Yes. The fact is, they're increasing. How come? Like I told you before, more than half population maybe in economically so low, but the rest are in vary economic condition. They can afford better meal, even junk food or fast food which is considered cheap in Indonesia.
In my early elementary school, I remembered first time I was gone to Mc.Donald. The first time I taste good apple pie. Sadly 20 years later I barely see apple pie on the menu and many menus pops up. You might surprise, in Indonesia Mc.Donald isn't only sells burgers, they sells package menu consist of rice, eggs, fried chicken, and cola. I'm aware why these happening, because almost all Indonesian people main carbohydrate is white rice, like in China, Japan, or Korea. Many says if we don't eat rice it's feels like doesn't eat.
Don't you see what's wrong in here? Despite of eating regular menu 1 piece fried chicken, cola, and fried fries. We exchange fried fries with white rice or ADDING a cup of white rice, because in Indonesia fried fries is considered as a snack. How about dessert? Yea, adding a sundae ice cream or ice cream cone there.
White rice is a must in many junk food and fast food restaurant in Indonesia. KFC is one the biggest and the first junk food outlet in Indonesia. Right now they have "Super Besar" menu, you can choose menu 1 or 2 (1 fried chicken or 2 fried chicken, 1 white rice, 1 big cola). To make it more worse, chili sauce in Indonesia is very mild spicy taste, a lot of people I see, they like to ask 1 more empty plate and fill it with lots and lots of chili sauce or ketchup. Are they finished it? *the sauces* YES!

Free size means only one size, if you bigger you'll make it looks like baby clothes, but if you skinny it'll looks good on you. Maybe this kind of trend was from Korean clothing section, or Korean looks clothing made in China.
I'm afraid the anorexia/bulimia problem might not a threat right now, but low self esteem and how giving appraisement about appearances will makes different results of eating behavior in here.

Why do I suddenly thinking about Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa? I don't intend to encourage people to be anorexia/bulimia, but actually it's because recently I've been watching the UK reality show titled : Super Size Versus Super Skinny.
This show might have been years showing and still ongoing, you might check www.chanel4.com or search on YT about it. As far as I know they already filming to season 6.
Amazing about how culture made women and men to do such strict diet to loose and stay skinny, where the beauty was cost death. Maybe in US or UK being skinny is pretty beautiful. This kind of context is different between West and East, especially South East Asia.
In South East Asia, being pretty or beautiful means the brighter, whiter, flawless skin look and body. So many whitening product sells like candies, name any price there's still a lot of women in South East Asia will be eager to buy it.
In Indonesia, anorexia/bulimia cases is very rare almost none, but I'm not saying there's none. In my opinion, a lot of people here have better thinking of being healthy might be not the priority, but can eat everyday is a bless. I must say, more than a half population in Indonesia are economically so low. So to these people being in restricted diet only making them starving even more.
But are there fat and big people in Indonesia? Yes. The fact is, they're increasing. How come? Like I told you before, more than half population maybe in economically so low, but the rest are in vary economic condition. They can afford better meal, even junk food or fast food which is considered cheap in Indonesia.
In my early elementary school, I remembered first time I was gone to Mc.Donald. The first time I taste good apple pie. Sadly 20 years later I barely see apple pie on the menu and many menus pops up. You might surprise, in Indonesia Mc.Donald isn't only sells burgers, they sells package menu consist of rice, eggs, fried chicken, and cola. I'm aware why these happening, because almost all Indonesian people main carbohydrate is white rice, like in China, Japan, or Korea. Many says if we don't eat rice it's feels like doesn't eat.
Don't you see what's wrong in here? Despite of eating regular menu 1 piece fried chicken, cola, and fried fries. We exchange fried fries with white rice or ADDING a cup of white rice, because in Indonesia fried fries is considered as a snack. How about dessert? Yea, adding a sundae ice cream or ice cream cone there.
White rice is a must in many junk food and fast food restaurant in Indonesia. KFC is one the biggest and the first junk food outlet in Indonesia. Right now they have "Super Besar" menu, you can choose menu 1 or 2 (1 fried chicken or 2 fried chicken, 1 white rice, 1 big cola). To make it more worse, chili sauce in Indonesia is very mild spicy taste, a lot of people I see, they like to ask 1 more empty plate and fill it with lots and lots of chili sauce or ketchup. Are they finished it? *the sauces* YES!

Living As Indonesian Chinese part 1
Yes, I'm not talking about beauty of make up, as I said before I like to talk about beauty on everything :)
As you might guess, I am an Indonesian born Chinese. This two different country has different kind of beauty. But I was always thought the beauty itself is how do we feel about it, so don't be offended because I'm not trying to say Indonesia and China is more beautiful than other countries.
I've never been going to China, sadly. I've got families there too. My Grandfather is from Fu Jian.
First I thought, Oowww... Fu Jian is very near to Taiwan, from its look on the map.
That's why my name's Hoo :D The more I look at the pictures of China, cultures, nature, the people (good or bad as it is) I feel the comfort of having close relationship with the country. BUT I am Indonesian, I born here, and I also might die here, I hope.
So being Indonesian Chinese, me and families has rules which is acculturation from Traditional China, Dutch, and Javanese. In Indonesia you can't generalize only 1 culture to be known, there's a lot of cultures in Indonesia, I just coincidentally born in Central Java.
So in this mixed culture I grew up and found some what we're a little bit different from Chinese or Indonesian, like building our culture itself.
If you want to go to Indonesia you might say um... native or origin people such as Javanese, Ambonese, Sumatran, etc is more open to tourist or foreigners, on the other side we're might looks a little bit stiff to mingle with foreigners. But believe me, we're excited as much as other Indonesian curiosity about different cultures and people.
Some conversations in Indonesia you might regards first like,
"Selamat pagi" = "Good morning"
"Selamat siang" = "Good afternoon"
"Selamat sore" = "Good evening"
"Selamat malam" = "Good night"
You can open conversation with:
"Hallo, apa kabar?" = "Hello, how are you?"
In common you can calls name of the person you're talking to, but if you talking to someone older you have to call "koko", Indonesian Chinese use this term to call older brother/man, "cie-cie" is use to call older sister/woman, in some regions the pronunciation become "cik" or "cicik".

It’s been so long since I've blogged, had been busy and tiring weeks, I almost get sick :(. Some of you might know beside Korean songs, Korean make up look is also popular recently. I don’t really into it until I found the Korean daily look is most likely simple and natural, not to heavy on eyeliner and no bold mascara/false lashes needed like Gyaru look in Japan. So here I’ve got some review for you, for new items that I’ve got :
1. FaceShop FaceIt Power perfection bb cream
Really-really light bb cream and brightening effect for your skin, it has variation colors, mine in Light Beige. It has 37 SPF/PA ++ and matte finish look. Be sure to let it blend to your skin for a while before apply loose powder for light makeup or compact for heavy makeup. I suggest using powder brush to apply thin layer of powder, you don’t have to use powder if you like. You can use dry sponge to apply it or with fingers it’s up to you.
2. My Lips Eat Cherry aqua tint, Lovely Me:Ex by FaceShop
I love this! It’s going to make your lip getting natural red. You can apply it on inner side of the lip after use the concealer on your lip and blend it out to get natural gradation. 3. Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals healthy natural concealer
Well this concealer is average, I guessed… I’ve never use concealer except going to party and had makeup artist apply my makeup. This time I choose this because it’s less expensive, works well, and at least makes my panda eyes less (muncul). If you have bigger budget to buy another product it’s okay
4. Etude Drawing Show Gel Eyeliner
Err… This is my first gel eyeliner, I usually use liquid or pencil eyeliner, for me this gel liner is good. For a gel liner starter beginner it’s easy to use (sorry for subjective comment). But I have to look down and wait a while until the gel getting dry; usually I continue to work on my eye makeup (nggak sabaran). If you don’t wait until it’s dry it might blotchy on the lid…
5. TONY MOLY Simply Style Slim Mascara
I just open this and try it once, love it, (bisa menahan) my eyelashes natural look, and have the feel longer eyelashes look. One thing that I like this better than Maybelline Hyper Curl is it’s easier to remove with eye and lip makeup remover. Don’t you find it (mengganggu) when your mascara keeps half hanging on your lashes?
6. Maybelline Hyper Curl Volume Express
Don’t use it on lower lashes if you already have long lashes or thick lower lashes (maybe?). It’s going to fat up your lower lashes and make your eyes bold. For thin and little lower lashes better use this hehehe… It’s going to frame your eyes pretty.
7. Lovely Me:Ex cushion blusher by FaceShop
Ummm… It has pretty pink and orange color, but the point from this product is the package very cute!! Look at the blusher cute little ribbon on top of the puff hahaha… Makes you feel like little princess LOL.
8. REVLON New Complexion Sun Block Face Cream
The great thing from this product is the price is less expensive (of course), and light feels of sun block cream. Even though after approximately 5-6 hours it’s going to make your face bit oily (note: if it’s applied on combination skin like mine). Maybe not really a problem for dry skin face because it has vitamin C that gives moisture and smoothness skin and helping on tightening face.
9. Brightening Rice Water Cleansing Oil by FaceShop
I recently use this for removing any makeup excess’ left on my face after using cleanser. Looking oil cleanser without oil and oily result? It’s working really well. Your skin feels moisten and don’t worry, it’s not going to make the skin becomes oily.
10. RICE Ceramide moisture toner
Very sweet smell was containing in this toner phew… Giving you fresher skin, but so far I don’t find it special… But yeah it’s moisture your skin and not gonna make the skin dry like some other toners
Well, that’s all :D I hope the information help you to choose Korean product especially FaceShop if you want to try it, I’m personally recommend the skin care products.

T-ARA Lovey Dovey Zombie Look Inspired Make Up
HAHAHA!!! In the middle of the night, I don’t have anything to do, and I don’t want to sleep yet. Watching T-ARA Lovey Dovey MV on my computer, and thinking to do the zombie look (it’s Halloween anyway I need something to spice up things). I’ve never do this kind of inspired makeup look, always see it on Youtube (check out oiseau88, Promise Phan and, meejmuse they’re amazing!)
I took these picture as reference. So this is it, my zombie look make up!
I think it’s so silly of me doing this, but its fun though.
So first I applied eye base gel on my lids, and used my Ultima II loose powder and made darker area became as pale as zombie like (better use white powder). I started to draw on eye lid a big wing liner with dark eye shadow to make it easier to draw with pencil liner (better use liquid liner/gel liner; I don’t have it at this time so I use my pencil liner).
I was used white matte eye shadow around the brow bone and made skin paler around the eyes, also added shimmer white eye shadow on the middle of the eye lid. Touch up the wing liner with pencil liner again and made it blend with white shimmer eye shadow just before on the middle lid. Lastly add black liner on water line, just half way though. Eye makeup finished.
I tried to shade my cheek to look thinner with brown flesh eye shadow to make my cheek bone higher and hollow cheeks. To make paler look, I was applied bb cream on my lip and use matte pink lipstick and use lip aqua tint on inside area of my lip.

Actually it’s not look like T-ARA zombie look, but it’s fun I think to try another inspired makeup look. But what d’ya think?

So it’s up to you, if your face is oily you can use the 30 SPF, if you need to use long lasting make up use the 50 SPF (oil face paper recommended, usually in tropical country heat seems to make our skin produce oil to keep the skin moist)

Bright Fit BB Cream Precious Mineral 30 SPF and 50 SPF
I tried this and finished off 1 sachet already, you don’t have to use a lot, you can use two times for 1 sachet :) I like this one!! Better than the 50 SPF. Why? Because the 50 SPF more oily but more lasting though. So it’s up to you, if your face is oily you can use the 30 SPF, if you need to use long lasting make up use the 50 SPF (oil face paper recommended, usually in tropical country heat seems to make our skin produce oil to keep the skin moist)

Couple weeks ago I was disposing expired makeup, so I bought some for exchange, and thin up my entire collection. Especially skin care routine, since my face is improving so I change my dermatologist skin care to Body Shop.
Fist thing first, this is my blusher, face powders, and eyeshadows...
1. Maybelline Shine Free Blush is very pigmented, matte results, good pint is you don't have to dab it too much to apply it on your face. For lighter skin would be too red, so do not get too many or you might end up like your face's slapped.
2. Tony Moly Cristal Blusher :) I like it so much, it's new, I just bought it and fell in love with it. I know I should go for peach or orange, because this pink jubilee works more like shimmers for your face
3. REVLON compact powder, I love this so much yet this one was the cause of my whiteheads break out... This works really well actually, matte results gives clean smooth face. I keep this just for finishing bold make up. *I don't want to have whiteheads breakout again*
4. Acnes Compact Powder, when I've got those whiteheads on my face, I thought it might help, but the smell is... like medication drugs? Anyway I don't like it.
5. Viodi Acne Loose Powder, I found this loose powder and love it, very soft particle, makes your face soft but it's only have one color. After my peeling done, my face brighter then before this powder makes my face darker.
6. Ultima II Full Moisture Loose Powder, my current loose powder, yey... I like it so much, light on your face, and very cute lavender package :)
7. Mirabella 12 colors palette ----> THESE actually my first eye shadow palettes! For beginners this palette is cheap, high pigmented, long lasting use, and great colors. This is local by the way, made in Indonesia :D *on my college time I was only using dark eyeliner and black eye shadow... punk and goth always my style those days...(-___- ")
8. Bless Eye Shadow, I want to dispose this, but the texture is good, nothing change, so I guess it's still save to use. . . Maybe I'll dispose this later. It's not really great but not bad, just average eye shadow. Again this is also local, made in Indonesia.
9. VIVA Eye Shadow Duo! Hahahaha!!! I've got these two when I buy set of eye brow and liner pencil of VIVA. Do I recommend these? It has really shimmer pigmented color, so I'm not using it as eye shadows yet, sometime I use the brick brown eye shadow as eye brow liner to match my hair color to my eye brow :p But the black is matte so I uses it as eye liner sometime.
10. Moving on to my second favorite : REVLON Wet/Dry Shadow Ombre A Paupiers, in flesh tone :D This very good for natural look if you're in hurry, bit light and dark shadows give some eye liner, taraaaa... finish!!
11. Last eye shadow is my NEW NYX 10 colors eyeshadow, the Runway Collection, Caviar and Bubble. LOVE IT! It's my favorite now :D Almost use it all the time :D It's high pigmented for long use, nude and netral color plus soft pink and matte black! I definitely recommend this for 2012 makeup beginners!
Lipsticks, I had a lot of lipsticks before, so sad when my favorite nude color is expired.
12. VIVA Queen in pale pink, this one have cute matte color, sometime I use this as lip base (hahaha...)before I apply another lipstick to make lip-tint Korean look.
13. ETUDE Aqua Rouge, it's orange red, very beautiful color, glossy look makes you lip plumps, maybe I'll look for orange like orange fruit lipstick after this haha! I'm referring Hyuna looks on PSY - Gangnam Style feat. Hyuna.
14. Maybelline Water Shine and Revlon Matte lipstick, I don't really see the differences of the color, except Maybelline have this really glossy look and Revlon really really matte. It's for natural lip color, so use it when my lip's pale or to red... or to black?
15. LIP BALM!! Don't ever wear lipstick when your lip were cracked. Put on lip balm before you sleep and apply it before using lipstick. If I'm too lazy to wears lipstick, I use Lip Ice Sheer Color :) It's gradually change your lip bit more red. Oriflame Tender care isn't only use for lip, it can be use for any other dry area such your hands, nails, elbows, ankles etc. I've got this Tender Care Caramel on promo, smell sweet like caramel syrup or candy ;p
16. ORIFLAME Very Me liquid foundation... actually I must confess, I don't know what the hell is this, is it bb cream? Foundation? Maybe a primer base for make up? Anyway I use this before match so good on my skin, right now it's make my face become orange *Duh.. I'm happy my face is brighter, but it cost me to dispose this foundie thing and loose powder
17. New mascara... Hyper Curl Mascara by Maybelline, my last mascara from Face Shop was dry up, so I guess it's time to change it. My first mascara also Maybelline, it's cheap (in my opinion)and good quality also. My new and still in sealed is Tony Moly Simply Style, I haven't use it yet because mascara only have 3 months using time, if you keep it correctly it may live longer (Gahahahaha.. sorry I don't have better line)
18. VIVA Queen eye base gel , I'm not recommend to buy this but it's cheap and useful for some time to keep your eye make up stay longer. You may have another brand for this.
19. SHISEIDO Black Mask!! I highly recommend this, but if you have sensitive skin or having acne problems please cure the acne first before use. This peel off mask is works really good! It's peel off you dead skin, whiteheads, blackheads, and I think some of your face hair! (just kidding!) you may get it online for 1$ a sachet, 1 sachet for 2 times full face mask, and 5-6 times for your nose/T area.
20. Since I'm wearing Body Shop Skin care, their day cream don't have SPF or sun blocking effects, so I bought this REVLON new complexion sun block face cream. Very light, I'm apply this after day moisturizer cream and before bb cream.
21. Hair velcro!! I'm addicted to this thing hahaha!! Works better than having bandana :) It's for holding your hair back while you apply make up, wearing mask, or cleaning your face. very-very cheap! 1$ maybe, but in Indonesia only IDR 3000 hahaha...

My New Brushes And Stuffs
Hi! Having make up is almost like doing artwork hee...hee... We should have BRUSHES!
If I looking for painting brushes, I like it soft and durable. Some of my brushes are made from fox hair. But when I picking brushes for make up I'm a little bit confuse.
Beware of fake brushes, especially when you go to online shop that sell MAC Brushes Set with cheap price. I don't wanna judge that brushes aren't good for your face but, as I collecting information there's no MAC brushes set except Hello Kitty Brushes Set. There's also Bobbi Brown replica brushes set.
I did almost buy those replica make up brushes, but when I saw the quality of it in beauty shop there's no different with China/Hongkong/Taiwan make up brushes quality. Yes, it is soft and really good to use (I don't know about the durability), but it has ridiculously expensive in my opinion compare to non branded make up brushes from China.
I uses Oriflame brushes before and an unknown blusher brush (I forgot what it's brand or where I bought it, I think I bought it in Surabaya)

About Oriflame powder brush... It's bit itchy on my face. I don't use it often, that's why I need new powder brush. Blender brush is a Ok.
Continued to fake MAC and Bobbi Brown brushes, I think it doesn't matter what brand I use, isn't like everybody gonna check what brand do I use anyway, right? I'm representing ordinary person who love and try to appreciate how to appear great with make up :)
With 10$ I bought the whole set of brushes (even I don't know what the hell it's use most of it)
This is the brushes set pouch, it's look cheap but I don't really care as long it can manage all my brushes when I'm going to travel.
So this is 18 brushes set, don't be afraid, they're really soft!! I like how neat the brushes, easy to clean, and cheap also.
I'm using them a lot hee... hee... it's almost 2 weeks.
Did I mention that I want to colors my hair? Yey!! I did!
I used ETUDE Bubble DIY hair coloring :) It's very easy, even though all "how to" is in Korean.

My fiancee's brother going to be married this November, I'm going to help on reception desk, in Indonesia the guests usually bring gift (or money pocket gift) and fills guest book, so I'll be responsible for those gifts basket. A little bit boring thing actually...
To maintain my hair healthiness I used these :

I want the heat protection hair spray but i can't find it. So I change to Intensive Makarizo Serum and Heat Protection Spray
Smell's good! It's make my hair soft and silky :) Love it! I recommend it, you can apply it before styling your hair with hair straightener or curling iron, just make sure your hair is dry and the serum soak into you hair.

So recently I was so drowned in make up beauty tutorial videos, if you like Korean make up I recommend to look at Jung Sae Mool video on you tube. Also don't forget cl2425, and once in a while interesting make up and hair styling from meejmuse, beautifymeh, xteener, sasakisasahi, or frheadtotoe. Maybe you also know Michelle Phan too, but I like her beauty tips better than make up tutorial.
What I'm into is ulzzang eyes make up, like winged eyeliner, but every time I try it's not ulzzang....
Actually that's also my first time I'm trying Silver Summer Make Up from Jung Sae Mool with equipment as it is (@_@)" it's a failure though...

Chemical Peeling - My Face Back!
Waiiii!! I'm so happy!!!
My face back! My face a lot smoother and brighter (bye-bye red face). Of course my skin a little bit flake off once in a while, there's still little dead skin left.
I've got a story to share if you want to go to Dermatologist and want to have chemical peeling, ask every details of post-treatment before you let the Doctor apply those chemical thingy!
Actually chemical peeling process different with using night peeling cream. I put night peeling cream is a soft method to peeling the dead skin off, because chemical peeling have 3 levels types : mild, medium and deep.
Mild Chemical Peeling
This type can be used on all skin types. Mild chemical peels usually use liquid containing a mild acid (usually taken from fruits but it depend), most often glycolic acid. The chemical peeling is applied to the skin with small brush, left on for several minute, then it's wipe off. You'll feel little burning or hot on your skin while the chemical works.
Before peeling make sure to prepares your skin with skincare regiment every day by cleansing twice a day, and never forget to wear sunscreen to avoid brown spots, this will help your skin peels evenly and increase healing after peel.
Medium Chemical Peeling
The steps is same as mild peeling, but medium peels are more painful than superficial peels, because the chemicals are stronger and they soak deeper into the skin.

Deep Chemical Peeling
Is the most painful type of chemical peeling, I never done this, sort of this method better for particular case. It's using complicated chemicals and start off with anesthesia injection. Heart monitor to receive intravenous used during procedure, because this peeling method using phenol which is toxic when absorbed into body systems in large doses. After the skin has been thoroughly cleaned, the chemical will be applied and allowed to penetrate. After one area of the face is treated, there will be a 15-minute break before the next area is treated to avoid getting too much phenol in your system.

I went to my Dermatologist, Dr. Elly (Skin Clinic Elia Pharma at Indraprasta Semarang, Indonesia). She gave little information about step by step to use the night cream and night peeling cream, toner, and facial foam. BUT she never told me if applying thick or thin peeling cream have different effect on the skin! It might be different effects or progress if you choose different peeling cream.
When I go back to clinic to ask (to sue! Sue the doctor!!). Unfortunately the doctor was going to social group gathering, the substitute was very nice to see me even though it's almost closed, with her stiff face and soft voice, she told me the sunburn feels and stingy stuff to my skin was happen because the peeling cream effects to heavy (0_o)! Not all women (or men) smeared thin layer of face cream, wait maybe just me who smeared face cream to thick . . .
She gave me cleansing cream which reduce the heat effects, calming the skin, and day cream. So my face naturally better :)
I suggest to ask clearly step by step, amount of cream or how far the condition of skin peeling treatments are still in normal condition, what to do in case of irritation, and what kind of irritation that can happen to your skin.

My face back! My face a lot smoother and brighter (bye-bye red face). Of course my skin a little bit flake off once in a while, there's still little dead skin left.
I've got a story to share if you want to go to Dermatologist and want to have chemical peeling, ask every details of post-treatment before you let the Doctor apply those chemical thingy!
Actually chemical peeling process different with using night peeling cream. I put night peeling cream is a soft method to peeling the dead skin off, because chemical peeling have 3 levels types : mild, medium and deep.
Mild Chemical Peeling
This type can be used on all skin types. Mild chemical peels usually use liquid containing a mild acid (usually taken from fruits but it depend), most often glycolic acid. The chemical peeling is applied to the skin with small brush, left on for several minute, then it's wipe off. You'll feel little burning or hot on your skin while the chemical works.
Before peeling make sure to prepares your skin with skincare regiment every day by cleansing twice a day, and never forget to wear sunscreen to avoid brown spots, this will help your skin peels evenly and increase healing after peel.
Medium Chemical Peeling
The steps is same as mild peeling, but medium peels are more painful than superficial peels, because the chemicals are stronger and they soak deeper into the skin.

Deep Chemical Peeling
Is the most painful type of chemical peeling, I never done this, sort of this method better for particular case. It's using complicated chemicals and start off with anesthesia injection. Heart monitor to receive intravenous used during procedure, because this peeling method using phenol which is toxic when absorbed into body systems in large doses. After the skin has been thoroughly cleaned, the chemical will be applied and allowed to penetrate. After one area of the face is treated, there will be a 15-minute break before the next area is treated to avoid getting too much phenol in your system.

Chemical Peeling - Hurting My Face OFF
Hello guys, how are you this weekend?
I was planning to share my new mini make up collection for this week topic, and I hope you guys kind enough to give some feed back about cosmetics that I bought. BUT my plan was interrupted by this night cream accident from my new dermatologist.
I don't usually go to dermatologist, because my first skin clinic was cost too much with no different change on my skin. The second one is cheaper, the treatment kind of working but the place really far from my house, and the dermatologist's not always available because she got 3 beauty clinics. I don't like it when the double change my prescription without permission. Since then I'm wearing non medical facial skin treatment like Ponds or Body Shop.
At Sunday (2/9 2012)I went to my sister Dermatologist, a reason why do I don't like to go to skin clinic is the possibility of getting chemical treatment dependency. But since I've got skin irritation from my previous compact powder and got whiteheads breakout (strange right?) I thought to consult my condition, buy the night cream, and get the problem solved.
I told her (my dermatologist), I've got some acne scars from irritation and want to clear that up, I told her I want to clear my freckles to (at least to fade my freckles). I have freckles, it's my biggest problem on my face. She gave me facial foam, skin toner, 2 kind of night creams. Night cream can't do any harm right, it's gonna make your skin smooth in the morning right?? Or that's what I usually think.
But it appears this night cream is nightmare...
SHE GAVE ME CHEMICAL PEELING CREAM
I know this is normal for dermatologist to give it for healing acne scars and removing blemishes, but I don't know this will be going for weeks of peeling the dead skin off (the duration depends on the condition of your skin face). For the first 3 days my face hurt, my skin become red (like boiled crab), and dry. I can't smile too wide or open my mouth to bite big size food (like sweet bread or even a sushi), so I have to cut it smaller.
I want to cry. What if it become worse? My face is darker day by day and feels like plastic wrapping my face. When I googled some info of chemical peeling, oh, so having red face and peel off skin are natural to happen when you've got chemical peeling. Even it's natural, hurting my face is my last option to fix my face problem, IMO hurting your face is not good for mental health! I'm not confident, getting panic attack, and not enough sleep for 5 days!
What's make me nervous is on next Monday is going to be first week of semester, I can't speak and give lecture in front of new students *Argh! They will get super destructive horror and permanently stick in their brain
After 3 days, yesterday and today my face calming off, not really getting more redness but still drying and peels off a bit. There's some dark skin spots on my face, it's look like plastic or dry peel off mask, it's disturbing.
You might think why did I continue this treatment? I want to continue this madness because when I look at my left cheek yesterday I saw no dry and dark skin spot area was peeled, maybe it's peeled off when I clean my face with toner, the skin in that area is really soft and it's color like my usual skin tone!
So cross my finger and hope this dark skin spots peels off soon.
